Neil Devlin’s diverse practice capitalizes on the efficiency that clients receive from the coordination of their legal needs, both commercial and individual. His Estates and Trusts practice spans from estate planning (both personal and business succession planning) to estate administration, and includes work in the area of special needs trusts. 

Neil is also a member of the firm’s Business and Corporate and Infrastructure and Energy practice groups. He possesses an insider’s perspective gained from working in those fields.  Neil’s prior experience includes:

  • In-house legal work at Huntley & Huntly, an oil and natural gas exploration company

  • Service to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission under then-Commissioner James Cawley (now of-counsel to SkarlatosZonarich)

  • Telecom-infrastructure and environmental consulting at a Michael Baker International

  • Database management at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Neil is an experienced trial attorney. While capable of litigating at any stage, he places an emphasis on lawyer-to-lawyer appellate matters. Prior to joining the firm, Neil clerked for both federal and state courts where he worked on civil and criminal actions, as well as Federal agency appeals. He also served as an Assistant District Attorney, managing hundreds of cases through pretrial, trial, and appeal. Neil has tried nineteen cases to verdict before both judges and juries.
